VISUAL PROBLEM SOLVER & STORYTELLER

When I explain to people what I do for a living as a UX/UI Designer, hiding my excitement is an impossible task – my profession has fused everything that I love into one field…combining design, strategy, psychology, analytics, and technology.

My passion for design fully bloomed at West Chester University, where I majored in Graphic Design and minored in Web-Technology & Applications and Business. I realized early on that interactive design was the wave of the future, and I was able to devote years to building my understanding of design principles, platforms, and UX methods. During my college career I was able participate in multiple design internships that focused on interactive design and branding.

As a UI/UX designer at Muhlenhaupt + Company and Senior UX designer at Think Company I sharpened my skills as a designer and consultant. Everyday I am faced with complex problems to solve and then translate those solutions to stakeholders, designers, and developers. I have learned how to be an advocate for UX processes, and educate the client along the way.

My passion for design has extended beyond my UX design role at Think Company and transformed to a dedication educating and connecting youth and diverse communities to the tech field. In addition to my career, I facilitate workshops, teach, mentor, sit in on college classes, and collaborate with organizations throughout Philadelphia. As the evolution of technology continues to grow, I envision a lifetime of design ahead of me. I will continue to strive towards mastering UX methodologies to solve complex problems and serving communities that lack resources in this field. The future of tech is bright and I intend on igniting as much light in the next generation of design as possible.

While working professionally as a UX Designer for Indeed I have had time to sharpen my skills as a UX practitioner. Everyday I am faced with complex problems to solve and then translate those solutions to stakeholders, designers, and developers. I am an advocate for UX processes, an apply research methods to create the best solutions for clients.

Everyday my work is rooted in Indeed’s mission to “Help people find jobs,” and that dedication has extended beyond my role as a UX Designer. Outside of work, I facilitate workshops, teach, mentor, sit in on college classes, and collaborate with organizations throughout the East Coast. As technology continues to evolve, I envision a lifetime of design ahead of me.
